Glen Miller was working recently as a consultant for a friend. Glen was reluctant to charge his friend, so they agreed instead that the friend would donate the fee toward Miller\u2019s most recent gift in support Dr. Inderbir Gill\u2019s research into kidney cancer. Dr. Gill saved Glen\u2019s kidney seven years ago by removing a cancerous tumor.
\n\u201cOver the years, we have contributed over $800,000 to Dr. Gill\u2019s research and we have maintained a wonderful relationship with him<\/em>,\u201d Mr. Miller said. \u201cHe gave us a comfort level that only he can give. He cares so much and has great empathy. Life is good, thanks to Dr. Gill. And, thanks to my friend, I was able to convert this year\u2019s $70,000 gift into $90,000.\u201d
