David Diller, MD, MHPE, assistant professor of clinical emergency medicine and medical education at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, has been selected as a 2021 Macy Faculty Scholar<\/a> by the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation.<\/p>\n

From a large national applicant pool, Diller is one of five scholars selected for the program, which provides mentorship and support to promote educators who have shown promise as future leaders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Macy Faculty Scholars continue to pave the way for health professions education reform,\u201d said Holly J. Humphrey, MD, MACP, president of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation. \u201cWe are thrilled to see how this remarkable group of Scholars in the 2021 class will improve outcomes for patients, for the education for future health care professionals, and for the communities they serve.\u201d<\/p>\n

As part of the program, Diller, who serves as assistant dean for clinical curriculum<\/a>, will be investigating ways to improve inclusiveness in the clinical learning environment. Donna Elliott, MD, EdD, vice dean for medical education and chair of the Department of Medical Education, will serve as Diller’s mentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n <\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
