Why did you choose to pursue your degree at USC?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I chose to pursue my Master of Public Health (MPH) at USC due to the culture and community that is fostered by the Trojan family. Between the rigorous academics and endless extracurricular opportunities, USC has forever left an impact on my heart, mind, and soul. This is truly an experience I could not have received at any other institution.<\/p>\n

What is one of your favorite memories from your program?<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of my favorite memories was tailgating with USC MPH Student Association (MaPHSA) for the homecoming game!<\/p>\n

What course in the program did you enjoy the most and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I loved taking PM564: Public Health Leadership and Management! I really enjoyed this course mainly because of Dr. Burke! She was so insightful about what makes a strong and impactful leader especially within the field of public health. Sometimes, our class would consist of certain exercises that might have initially seemed peculiar, but she incorporated them seamlessly into our coursework and painted the bigger picture effortlessly. I truly enjoyed my time in her class.<\/p>\n

What advice do you have for incoming students?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My advice for incoming students would be to take advantage of all the resources offered by USC! From academic help to social outings, USC really sets up its students for all around success.<\/p>\n

Where did you complete your practicum requirement and what did you learn from your experience?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I completed my practicum at USC in the Department of Population and Public Health working on a research study observing walkability via a GPS monitoring application. I learned how to build a study from the ground up, organize for data collection, and interpret data into communicable results via different statistical methods.<\/p>\n

What are you planning to do after graduation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

After graduation, I will be working at Sony Pictures Entertainment as a project analyst on the Medical and Environmental Health & Safety team under their Sustainability Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n
