\nThe Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB\/GYN) has 50 faculty, 36 residents, 16 fellows, and provides clinical care in 12 locations around the Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. OB\/GYN is proud of what they do \u2014 taking care of women and their unique needs throughout their lives. The department\u2019s superlative faculty provides outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care for women, from routine needs to the most complex conditions, as well as innovative surgical treatments. The department has also initiated fellowships in Fetal Surgery and Global Women\u2019s Health this academic year and recruited four new faculty members for fall 2016, while providing excellent educational training at all levels. OB\/GYN provides services in five major subdivisions:
\nUSC Gynecology<\/strong>
\nLocated at the Keck Medical Center of USC, this group provides subspecialty gynecologic outpatient and surgical services on the medical campus and at the Keck Medicine of USC \u2013 Downtown Los Angeles practice. Services include minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, pelvic floor reconstructive surgery, urogynecology, family planning and outpatient gynecologic care.
\nUSC Obstetrics and Gynecology<\/strong>
\nLocated adjacent to Good Samaritan Hospital, this group of general OB\/GYN physicians provide prenatal and obstetric care in addition to general gynecologic care, including surgery, family planning and outpatient gynecology.
\nUSC Fertility<\/strong>
\nLocated adjacent to Good Samaritan Hospital, this group of subspecialists in reproductive endocrinology and infertility provide full-spectrum infertility care, including fertility diagnostic testing, intrauterine insemination, in vitro fertilization, oocyte donation, gestational surrogacy and pre-implantation genetic testing. Fertility preservation is an increasingly large part of the practice, with both sperm and egg freezing (oocyte cryopreservation) for patients with malignancies, as well as those wishing to preserve fertility for the future for other reasons.
\nUSC Perinatology<\/strong>
\nWith seven locations from Downtown Los Angeles to Mission Hills in the North San Fernando Valley, this group of maternal-fetal subspecialists provide consultative care for all aspects of obstetrics, perinatology and complex maternal\/fetal disorders. The group also includes USC Fetal Surgery, located at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, which provides advanced minimally invasive fetal surgical procedures for a variety of fetal disorders.
\nUSC Gynecologic Oncology<\/strong>
\nLocated at USC Norris Cancer Hospital and at the Huntington Pavilion in Pasadena, this group of gynecologic oncology subspecialists provides full spectrum care of gynecologic cancers, from diagnostic testing to surgery to chemotherapy.

\nWhat are the most exciting recent clinical developments in your department that you\u2019d like your colleagues to know about?<\/strong>
\nUSC Fertility provides about 400 fertility-enhancing procedures each year, in addition to fertility preservation services for about 100 women annually. Fertility diagnostic testing allows couples to assess their fertility potential even before attempting conception. Also included is a center for recurrent pregnancy loss, and natural cycle IVF for those wishing to avoid exposure to fertility medications.
\nWhat is the most frequent question you get asked regarding your service?<\/strong>
\nSince there is no obstetric care at Keck Hospital of USC, our services may be somewhat difficult to find! But gynecologic services are available on the Health Sciences Campus, and obstetric and fertility care is only four miles away, next to Good Samaritan Hospital.
