Year in review: COVID adds urgency to addressing inequalities in global health

The USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health has released its third annual report spotlighting its partnerships, research, and work to address COVID-19, sexual and reproductive health, and climate change.

“The need to address inequalities in the health of our societies has never been greater,” said Sofia Gruskin, JD, MIA, director of IIGH who holds a joint appointment in the USC Gould School of Law and the department of population and public health sciences at Keck School of Medicine of USC.

“If the last year has taught us anything it is not only that new challenges will continue to appear but that we are stronger and more effective working together across continents, disciplines and experience.”
