rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AUPO FCC compliant<\/a>\u00a0clinical Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship at the USC Roski Eye Institute offers a robust, comprehensive training experience in clinical and surgical adult and pediatric neuro-ophthalmology. Each\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eye.keckmedicine.org\/clinical-instructors-fellows\/\">fellow<\/a>\u00a0rotates through adult neuro-ophthalmology clinics and operating rooms at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eye.keckmedicine.org\/\">USC Roski Eye Institute<\/a>, evaluating and managing patients with complex neuro-ophthalmic disorders at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dhs.lacounty.gov\/wps\/portal\/dhs\/lacusc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Angeles General Medical Center<\/a>\u00a0alongside our residents, and gains experience in pediatric neuro-ophthalmology at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chla.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Children\u2019s Hospital Los Angeles<\/a>\u00a0(CHLA). In addition, each fellow gains experience in Botox injections for hemifacial spasm and blepharospasm, complex adult strabismus, as well as oculoplastics procedures related to management of the neuro-ophthalmic patient.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-160 size-16x9_320\" src=\"https:\/\/keck.usc.edu\/ophthalmology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/08\/USC-Eye-Institute-Pasadena-300x180.jpeg\" alt=\"A woman looking at an eye through a glass\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The diverse expertise of our mentors, as well as the program\u2019s clinical pathology and volume, affords each trainee ample opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge base, and experience required for independent practice as a surgical neuro-ophthalmologist. Each\u00a0fellow participates actively in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eye.keckmedicine.org\/residency\/\">teaching of residents<\/a>\u00a0and medical students. Academic opportunities abound, as well! The USC Provost, Dean, and Keck School of Medicine of USC have partnered to create a unique opportunity for USC clinical fellows to concomitantly pursue scholarly activities, such as basic, clinical or translational research, or attain a master\u2019s degree, certificate or other relevant training useful in the development of their career. This Post-doctoral Scholars program offers tuition remission for the interested applicant.
