Mission and Goals

The mission of the USC Proteomics Core is to make the cutting edge mass spectrometry technology available to the entire USC research community. While the Core is a fee-for-service facility, a major goal is to become a research environment for multidisciplinary research and education that utilizes mass spectrometry and other proteomics technologies to tackle complex biological and medical problems.

The Core will be active in technology development to improve protein identification and post-translational modification analysis in complex mixture of proteins from biological tissue and fluids.
