Radiology Elective (3rd Year Medical Students)

The Radiology Department offers a two-week elective at Keck Hospital of USC to third year medical students. Students will spend one week observing each of two subspecialty services listed below. During the two-week course, students will have the opportunity to review cases and participate in procedures, as well as, discuss protocoling and procedural planning. They will learn to observe findings, generate differential diagnosis and suggest management options. They will also be able to participate in diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Students may spend a week each at two of the following subspecialties:

• Body Imaging
• Emergency Radiology
• Interventional Radiology
• Musculoskeletal Radiology
• Neuroradiology
• Oncologic Imaging
• Women’s Imaging
