OREF funds research proposals which will address the use of enabling technologies in musculoskeletal health care. The PI must be an early-stage investigator defined as a researcher who has completed their terminal research degree or post-graduate clinical training within the past 10 years and has not previously competed successfully for an R01 NIH grant or its equivalent (e.g., VA, DOD, and NSF) in the role of PI. Early-Stage investigators who have demonstrated a sustained interest in research and excellence in their training are encouraged to apply.
