Two are available through the Endourological Society Match, and three are offered directly through the department. The fellowship is a 12-month commitment starting\u00a0<strong>August 1\u00a0<\/strong>through<strong>\u00a0July 31<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fellows will undergo an apprenticeship under the tutelage of world-renowned faculty, including Drs. Inderbir Gill, Mihir Desai, Monish Aron, Rene Sotelo, Hooman Djaladat, Andre Abreu and Jullet Han. \u00a0They will work directly with faculty primarily at Keck and Verdugo Hills Hospital as well as \u00a0select satellite locations, Los Angeles General Medical Center and Garfield Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>Our program has an intensive clinical and surgical curriculum which includes the following but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>XI and SP Robotic approaches to urologic oncology as well as benign conditions<\/li>\n<li>MRI\/TRUS fusion prostate biopsies and focal therapies, including High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and cryoablation for prostate cancer.<\/li>\n<li>Aquablation, the first FDA-cleared surgical robot utilizing automated tissue resection for the treatment of BPH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each fellow is expected to participate in over 250 cases over a one-year period.<\/p>\n<p>Numerous teaching\/educational opportunities are available through weekly resident teaching conferences, GU Tumor Board, and departmental grand rounds, as well as monthly M&amp;Ms conferences and RUO journal clubs.<\/p>\n<p>There are also abundant opportunities for clinical research, as the department currently holds several IRB-approved clinical databases for all urologic malignancies. For those with an interest in basic science, the department has several investigators who are currently doing basic science research on various aspects of urologic oncology. Fellows will also have access to a fully equipped small- and large-animal laboratory for preclinical projects if desired.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"867\" data-end=\"1068\">This <strong data-start=\"872\" data-end=\"903\">one-year urology fellowship<\/strong> is designed for physicians seeking specialized training in <strong data-start=\"963\" data-end=\"1067\">robotic prostatectomy, minimally invasive urologic oncology, and advanced robotic surgical platforms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1092\"><strong data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1092\">Program
