Evolution of Health Care in China Since 1950

The Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Applied Studies (IDEAS) Initiative and the USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health (IIGH) invite you to a hybrid seminar featuring Dr. Robert Detrano, President at China California Heart Watch and former Professor of Radiological Sciences and Public Health at the University of California Irvine. 

Dr. Detrano founded the China California Heart Watch, a nonprofit group that brings together experts from around the world to combat the growing epidemic of heart disease in the Yunnan province in China. The overarching mission is to teach, improve access to care, and engage in research and advocacy. ChinaCal’s clinical volunteers conduct blood pressure and cardiovascular disease screenings along with other support. Dr. Detrano also received the Yunnan Friendship Award from Chen Hao, Governor of Yunnan province for his outstanding contributions to the people of this southern Chinese province. Dr. Detrano has 30 years of academic, 42 years of medical and 12 years of business experience
