MMI Department Seminar: Viruses as Teachers: Lessons in Cancer Biology and Beyond

Join the MMI department’s monthly seminars to hear guest speakers present on a wide range of topics including tumor virology, cancer, autoimmune diseases, immune responses, and more.

This month’s guest speaker is Dr. Jae Jung from Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute. Dr. Jung leads the Department of Cancer Biology, the Infection Biology Program, and the newly-established Global Center for Pathogen & Human Health Research, which is focused on understanding of viral pathogens and the human immune responses toward preparing and protecting future public health threats. The overarching goal of his research is to uncover new ways to understand infection and immunity and to rapidly develop and distribute vaccines and therapeutics to improve global health.
