Peck Ong, MD, is Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at University of Southern California. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Ong specializes in atopic dermatitis (eczema), food allergy and asthma. He has written multiple research and review articles on these topics. Most notable is his New England Journal of Medicine paper that showed low defensin level in atopic dermatitis patients. This paper remains one of the most cited papers in atopic dermatitis. Dr. Ong is the site Principal Investigator for Atopic Dermatitis Research Network in Los Angeles. Many children with atopic dermatitis also have food allergy or asthma.
