I am an Assistant Professor in the Division of Biostatistics of the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC). I work on statistical methods and applications in environmental epidemiology, exhaled breath biomarkers, and clinical trials for pediatric brain tumors.

Academic background. In 2009, I completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. I worked on my thesis under the supervision of Dr. Tom Louis with support from the Epidemiology and Biostatistics of Aging Training Program. I then spent two years as a postdoc at USC.

Personal background. I grew up in Seattle, living first in Ballard and then on Bainbridge Island. I moved east to attend Vassar College where I majored in Mathematics and French. I discovered Biostatistics during my junior year abroad in Paris. I enjoy hiking, and most Saturdays you can find me on a trail in the San Gabriel mountains.
