Who We Are

Leadership

The Southern California Research Center for Alcohol-Associated Liver and Pancreatic Diseases (ALPD) and Cirrhosis unifies 60 investigators from major academic institutions in Southern California toward a common mission of promoting research, training, and outreach for ALPD and cirrhosis. Since its inception in 1999, the Center-supported components have more than doubled in number, resulting in a truly interdisciplinary program embracing basic science, education and training for undergraduate and graduate students, pre- and post-doctoral fellows, and community and global outreach programs.

External Advisory Board Members

The External Advisory Board consists of experts in respective areas of research as outlined below. They meet annually to review and evaluate the written progress reports of Core activities and Pilot Projects. Based on their evaluations, the Board will recommend changes to be incorporated into the Core management and operation. It will also recommend approval or disapproval for the continuation of pilot projects and new projects.
