Additional Programs

  • MD-PhD students giving the hang loose sign.A fully funded joint program of USC and Caltech, for individuals who aspire to a career as a clinician-scientist in academic medicine or in the biomedical industry.

  • Surgeon-scientist performs in the OR

    Physicians whose expertise extends from the research laboratory to the clinic are in demand. This translational medicine–focused program prepares students to engage in cutting-edge research, giving them an edge when competing for faculty positions and research funding.

  • A PhD in Integrative Anatomical Sciences will provide students with a broad foundation in the anatomical sciences, including human gross anatomy, microanatomy, and neuroanatomy. Students will build on this foundation to develop detailed expertise in their chosen area of research under the guidance of the faculty in the Department of Integrative Anatomical Sciences. Faculty research interests span a wide range of topics including evolutionary morphology, comparative biomechanics, and integrative physiology.
