Overview

Dr. Farzan Abdolahi, M.D. investigates the development and clinical application of cutting edge technologies for early diagnosis and treatment of diseases directly affecting the eye and disorders with ophthalmic manifestations, such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, and vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia. The current focus of Dr. Abdolahi’s research is on preventing blindness and visual impairment through the development of imaging biomarkers of retinal vasculature with early clinical diagnostic value, and with the goal of making them widely available for use in the clinic.
