Joseph Femino, MD

Dr. Femino is a nationally renowned musculoskeletal oncologist . Dr. Femino is a honors graduate of Yale University. He received his MD degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and he completed his orthopaedic residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After residency, Dr. Femino actually completed two fellowships. He did an orthopaedic oncology fellowship at the University of Washington followed by a pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Femino was on staff at CHLA for a number of years before moving to City of Hope in 2007. He joined USC in 2024 as Chief of Musculoskeletal Oncology.

Dr. Femino is one of the most experienced musculoskeletal oncologists in Southern California. As Chief of the service line, he will mentor and oversee the other orthopaedic oncologists in the department. He will also work in conjunction with the medical oncologists at Norris Cancer Center to develop multidisciplinary clinical and research programs.
