Overview

Joseph Ouzounian, MD, MBA is the Daniel R. Mishell Jr. MD Endowed Professor and Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Dr. Ouzounian received his MD degree from USC, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology and his fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at USC. Subsequently, Dr. Ouzounian also earned a Master of Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at USC. Dr. Ouzounian is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine. At the University he is actively involved in research, teaching, and clinical practice, in addition to his various leadership and strategic development roles. He has published extensively in scholarly medical journals and textbooks on topics in high risk obstetrics and perinatal medicine.

Recognized as a leader in perinatal medicine, Dr. Ouzounian lectures frequently at national and international meetings on topics in high risk obstetrics.
