Overview

Liyang Tang, MD, is an otolaryngologist at Keck Medicine of USC, who specializes in head and neck cancer surgery, including microvascular reconstruction, thyroid and parathyroid surgery.

Dr. Tang is fellowship trained in head and neck oncologic and endocrine surgery. She earned her medical degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. During her residency at Los Angeles General, formerly known as Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, she served as chief resident and received honors for her teaching.

Her research interests primarily focus on managing thyroid cancers that have spread to the lymph nodes in the neck and improving outcomes after thyroid and complex reconstructive surgeries.

Away from work, Dr. Tang enjoys reading, drawing and rock climbing.
