Vivian Mo, MD

Dr. Vivian Mo is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and specializes in cardiology and echocardiography. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Texas – Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She is an active medical educator in the cardiovascular medicine fellowship program and, while at USC, has investigated characteristics of right ventricle function in pulmonary hypertension and published on echocardiographic measures in the setting of pericardial effusion and cardiac tamponade. Clinically, she supports a growing structural heart disease program through interventional echocardiography for procedures in transcatheter aortic valve replacement, MitraClip, atrial and ventricular defect closure, Watchman device implants, etc. From a physician leader perspective, she is the Chief Medical Officer of USC Care Medical Group and has worked to improve the quality of healthcare delivered in-hospital and in the ambulatory setting on required and independent metrics. She has a keen focus on streamlining operational processes for efficiency and optimizing patient care, and aligning physician work efforts and engagement within USC’s clinical programs.

Dr. Mo is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography.
