Overview

My philosophy of care focuses on the combination of high quality evidence-based medical decision making, and patient centered care. Effective healthcare necessitates a partnership between a patient and their physician. My goal is to have up-to-date medical knowledge to help you make medical decisions about your care. My attitude towards patient care relies on preventive care, education and counseling. Medical care is never complete unless the patient plays an integral and informed role in their own health, and the best way to achieve this is through shared decision making. As a team we will work together towards your healthier future.

Originally from Canada, Dr. Matthew Jung completed his undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Health Sciences at McMaster University. He completed his medical school training at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2010. After medical school he began an internal medicine residency in NYC at the St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center until 2013, and then completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in association with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Now in Los Angeles to begin primary care with Keck Medicine of USC, his interests include preventive care, and incorporating patients into their own care through education and counseling.
