Goals

To accomplish our mission, we aim to stimulate collaborations, as well as boost and energize ongoing projects by facilitating and supporting state-of-the-art research resources and expertise via interlinked biomedical cores including kidney function phenotyping and imaging, stem cell and organoids, therapeutics and drug delivery, and clinical resources and trial cores. To expand the kidney research community, the center will promote new faculty recruitment, the inclusion of investigators from diverse career stages and backgrounds and offer educational and training opportunities including summer student enrichment programs and provide pilot funding to facilitate novel advances in kidney research. These combined efforts are focused on the Kidney Research Center becoming a hub recognized nationally and globally for significant advances in preventing and treating kidney diseases.
