Overview

Liv Hagstrom-Burch PA-C, MPH, is a skilled physician assistant with extensive healthcare experience spanning over two decades. After receiving a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, she completed the Yale Norwalk PA surgical residency program. Her clinical work encompasses several surgical specialties, cardiovascular medicine, emergency medicine, and ICU experience. Upon relocating to Los Angeles in 2010, she completed a Master of Public Health degree with Global Health certification from UCLA.
Liv’s dedication to the field extends beyond her clinical role in delivering high-quality patient care. Her professional trajectory includes advancing healthcare education as adjunct faculty for the Primary Care PA Program at USC for nearly a decade before joining the faculty as a full-time clinical instructor in 2024. With her substantial background and expertise, she brings a strong foundation of clinical knowledge and procedural skills to the PA program and is excited to contribute to the academic development of future clinicians.
Alongside these accomplishments, she has served as a volunteer for surgical mission work, has a commitment to community service, and has dedicated her efforts to advocacy and leadership as part of the American Academy of PAs. Her passion for excellence, coupled with her diverse skill set, and leadership qualities, make her a valuable asset to the USC PA Program.
