Taylor Wilson Burkholder

Dr. Burkholder is an assistant professor of clinical emergency medicine. He trained in emergency medicine at the Denver Health Residency in Emergency Medicine and then completed a fellowship in global emergency medicine at the University of Colorado. He is a volunteer consultant for the World Health Organization’s Emergency, Trauma and Acute Care programme, and he currently focuses on issues of health service innovation implementation and the governance of emergency care systems in low and middle-income countries. Taylor’s other academic interests include rights-based approaches to emergency care, ultrasound in low-resource settings, emerging infectious diseases, and medical education.
