About the Alpha Clinic

The Alpha Clinics are a California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM)-funded network of nine top California medical centers. The network aims to expand existing capacities for delivering stem cell, gene therapies and other advanced treatment to all patients serve as a competency hub for regenerative medicine training, clinical research, and the delivery of approved treatments.

The USC+CHLA Alpha Clinic has a four-part mission to:

  • advance and support clinical trials and therapeutic development for cell and gene therapies locally and through the CIRM Alpha Clinic network;
  • engage diverse and underserved communities in those trials and the resulting therapies;
  • provide training and education to researchers, staff, patients, and communities;
  • exchange novel expertise with other Alpha Clinic network sites through lead offerings.
