MS in Cancer Biology and Molecular Medicine

Our Master of Science in Cancer Biology and Molecular Medicine prepares students for research careers in biomedicine through a rigorous, thesis-based curriculum. Previously known as the Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, our two-year, 34-unit program pairs coursework with mentored laboratory research culminating in a defended thesis. Students choose from faculty mentors working across cancer biology, inherited disease, stem cell biology, drug discovery, epigenetics, structural biology, and bioinformatics.

Many students go on to PhD programs at prestigious research universities across the United States, while others enter research and development roles across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
