Culture and Engagement Champions

The Keck Culture & Engagement Champions are nominated representatives from clinical, basic sciences, and administrative departments who provide leadership and oversight of culture and engagement efforts for their department. The Champions work with the Office of Faculty Affairs, Advancement, and Inclusion to assess departmental needs and undertake specific local projects related to culture and engagement.

    • Health Justice and Systems of Care course: preclinical phase of the medical school curriculum & extended into the clerkship phase with a two week-course
    • Curriculum bias mitigation project: identify (potential for) bias and work with faculty to help actively explore issues of race, gender, and social determinants of health (amongst many others) in the medical school curriculum
