Overview

Andrew Lim, MD, is a radiation oncologist at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of Keck Medicine of USC, who specializes in today’s most advanced forms of radiation therapy, including interstitial and surface brachytherapy, volumetric modulated arc therapy and stereotactic body radiation therapy.

At USC Norris, he serves as director of brachytherapy, a form of internal radiation therapy in which the radiation source is placed close to the cancer. Dr. Lim routinely treats prostate cancer, gynecologic cancers, sarcomas, skin cancer and metastatic cancers anywhere in the body.

His research interests focus on the development of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms capable of integrating clinical, biochemical, genomics and radiologic data, with a goal of making personalized, probabilistic medical predictions. Dr. Lim has received several awards for his outstanding research and cancer care.

Away from work, he enjoys creating software tools that help people save time.
