Overview

Dr. Das currently teaches courses in the MS (clinical track) in Global Medicine and the MPH programs in the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences.Dr. Das was a recipient of the 2020 Community Service Grant from the CHEST Foundation (American College of Chest Physicians) for a project titled, “Screening for Childhood Tuberculosis in Children 0–4 Years of Age With Moderate to Severe Malnutrition in a Rural District of West Bengal, India”. He was also a recipient of 2024 Community Impact Grant from the CHEST Foundation (American College of Chest Physicians) for a project titled, “Connecting the dots – Can existing community health workers be incorporated in the screening for acute respiratory infections in children aged <5 years, and asthma in children aged 5-18 years?"Dr. Das is a practicing Board certified pediatrician and pediatric infectious disease sub-specialist. He completed his residency in general pediatrics and fellowship training in pediatric infectious diseases from Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He graduated from the MPH program (Health Policy and Management) at the University of California Los Angeles in 2015 as an upsilon phi delta member of the National Honor Society for Healthcare Management. Dr. Das practices ambulatory pediatrics in Mission Hills (Los Angeles). He was a former in-patient consultant in pediatric infectious diseases at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, CA and Providence Cedars Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA.
