Overview

Dr. Nguyen’s clinical and research interests are related to the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease with a special focus on thyroid disorders in pregnancy including hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, subclinical thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, Hashimoto’s, and postpartum thyroiditis. She has published articles in Thyroid, the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Clinical Diabetes and Endocrinology.

She has been an invited speaker at local and national conferences and is involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows in both the Department of Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Nguyen earned her medical degree from the University of California, Davis. Following her residency at UCLA-Olive View Medical center, she went on to complete her Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship at Keck School of Medicine of USC before joining the faculty in 2015.
