Overview

Eric P. Hsieh, MD, FACP is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and Vice Chair for Educational Affairs in the Department of Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. As Program Director for the USC/Los Angeles General Internal Medicine Residency Program, he has shaped one of the region’s largest and most diverse training programs for nearly two decades, combining innovative curriculum development with a strong focus on mentorship and professional growth.Dr. Hsieh is widely recognized for his contributions to medical education and mentorship. He has received multiple awards, including the ACGME Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Award, the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, and the Mellon Mentoring Award for Excellence in Mentoring Postdoctoral Scholars. He currently serves as Governor for the American College of Physicians Southern California Region 1 and is a member of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Accreditation Committee. His academic interests include faculty development, bias reduction, wellness, and systems-based quality improvement, with a commitment to developing future leaders in internal medicine.
