Overview

Julia Cser Barron, MSPA, PA-C is a physician assistant and Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine (Clinician Educator) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC Primary Care Physician Assistant Program. Since 2017, she has been a frequent guest lecturer, facilitator, and instructor in addition to receiving a Voluntary Faculty appointment.

Ms. Barron earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance from the USC Thornton School of Music and a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences.

A physician assistant for over 9 years, she is experienced in emergency medicine, urgent care and gastroenterology. Ms. Barron has worked at Arcadia Methodist Hospital, San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, Monterey Park Hospital and various subacute care and community nursing facilities. As a medical team member, she strives to deliver the highest level of care to patients from local communities.

Ms. Barron’s distinctive background informs her perspective on medical education. As a non-profit director, she dedicated 2 decades to providing opportunities for underprivileged students and young adults. A professional musician and music educator, teaching and learning has been her lifelong passion. As a clinical educator, she endeavors to create inclusive educational opportunities for all students.
