Overview

Dr. Nguyen’s research interests include prevention of chemotherapy-induced alopecia using scalp hypothermia, efficacy of rasbruicase in the treatment of prevention of tumor lysis syndrome in adult patients, and use of direct thrombin inhibitors in the ICU setting vs. regular medical floors in patients with heparin induced thrombosis.

Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Following his residency, he went on to complete his Medical Oncology Fellowship Program at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Nguyen currently serves on the Hoag Hospital Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
