Overview

After completing an internal medicine internship and neurology residency at Boston University Medical Center in 2005, Dr. Cesar did his headache fellowship training at Columbia University in New York. In 2006, he was hired by the Columbia University Department of Neurology as an assistant attending physician, and in 2009 he became the director of Headache Medicine. After practicing as a headache specialist for eight years, he joined the Department of Neurology at Keck Medicine in 2014.

Dr. Cesar has experience treating common and uncommon headache and facial pain syndromes and is an expert in compiling pertinent information to obtain the correct diagnosis and treatment regimens. He has a strong clinical background and is an experienced Botox injector for chronic migraine. Dr. Cesar also has experience treating general neurologic disorders and other pain disorders. Dr. Cesar is interested in medical student/resident education and plans to apply his clinical skills to conducting research in the treatment of chronic migraines and refractory headaches at USC.
