Dr. Lee is a Professor of Clinical Surgery at Keck Medicine of USC. He is one of the nation’s leading experts in laparoscopic colon and rectal surgery and endoluminal surgery. He has performed more than 1,200 laparoscopic colon and rectal surgeries. He has pioneered a noninvasive surgical technique called combined endo-laparoscopic surgery (CELS), which removes large colon and rectal polyps not amenable for endoscopic removal, while avoiding bowel resection. Dr. Lee also developed a less invasive way to surgically treat Crohn’s and other benign rectal strictures.

Dr. Lee has edited three surgical textbooks and published more than 70 manuscripts and has been recognized as one of “America’s Top Doctors” by Castle Connolly. In his role as the Chief of the Division of Colorectal Surgery at Keck Medicine, Dr. Lee provides leadership for a world-class colorectal surgery team with expertise across the entire spectrum of colorectal surgery and disease processes.
