Dr. Han completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated with magna cum laude honors in 2000. He obtained his M.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, where he was awarded a membership of Alpha Omega Alpha honors society as a third-year medical student. He completed general surgery training at our own University of Southern California, where he was voted the most outstanding chief resident by the faculty in 2012. During residency, he also obtained a master's degree in biomedical engineering at the Viterbi School of Engineering at USC. Dr. Han went on to complete vascular surgery fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Han obtained additional dedicated training in complex aortic repairs at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Since joining USC as faculty in 2014, Dr. Han has been instrumental in advancing the Aortic Center at Keck Medical Center of USC as one of the most robust programs in the country for care of patients with aortic emergencies and complex aortic pathologies. Dr. Han also serves as a principal investigator on numerous clinical trials on cutting-edge branched, fenestrated endovascular aortic stent grafts. Dr. Han is a frequent invited lecturer on complex aortic repairs at both national and international meetings. He maintains one of the busiest clinical practices at USC.
