The faculty in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery specialize in the care of women with pelvic floor disorders, including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, urogenital and rectovaginal fistulas, interstitial cystitis, urinary tract infections, and pelvic floor dysfunction. The faculty members are all fellowship-trained and board-certified in the subspecialty and offer the latest in behavioral, non-surgical, pharmacologic, and surgical management. The faculty members in the division are actively involved in resident and fellow education, both in and out of the operating room, and are proficient in vaginal, abdominal and minimally invasive approaches to pelvic floor reconstruction. Patient care takes place both at Los Angeles General Medical Center as well as the Keck Medical Center of USC. The division sponsors an ACGME accredited joint fellowship program with the Catherine and Joseph Aresty Department of Urology.

Training & Education

The FPMRS Fellowship is an ACGME-accredited sub-specialty training program in collaboration with USC’s Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Colorectal Surgery. Throughout the program, fellows spend time in the operating rooms, clinics, and urodynamics and manometry labs located across Keck Hospital of USC, Norris Hospital, Los Angeles General Medical Center, and Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center.

As a tertiary referral center, the physicians in the division receive referrals from all over the state and often take care of the most complicated cases.
