Spine Medicine Fellowship

Description

The spine fellow will receive substantial training in interventional spine procedures, including epidural steroid injections, medial branch nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and sacroiliac joint injections. The fellow will train on minor surgical procedures such as spinal cord stimulator trials and implants and percutaneous nerve stimulator trials and implants. In addition, the fellow will be able to perform advanced minimally invasive surgical procedures, including percutaneous image-guided lumbar decompression, the implant of interspinous spacers, basivertebral nerve ablation, and endoscopic medial branch ligation and rhizotomy. There will be an emphasis on both electrodiagnostic medicine and ultrasound-guided injections. Substantial research opportunities will be available.
