Our graduate program’s Master of Science in Pathology focuses on the comprehensive study of disease mechanisms. The primary goal of this program is to educate scientists who can investigate the causes, mechanisms, and effects of diseases, preparing them for careers in research within academic or commercial settings, teaching, or further education(MD, PhD or MD/PhD programs). This program emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to studying human disease.

Areas currently under investigation include tumor and stem cell biology, immunology, oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, therapeutics, wound regeneration, personalized medicine, immunity and inflammation, organ-specific diseases, digital pathology, and spatial genomics.

Program Summary

In our graduate program, students learn to do independent research performing experiments in fully equipped laboratories. Our students have the opportunity to participate in lectures, symposia, conferences and poster sessions locally, nationally and internationally. At the completion of their graduate studies, master’s students may participate in projects that result in publications.
