Adelante

Adelante is a weekly physical activity program at the Hazard Recreation Center Gym. It originated as a physical therapy program for cancer survivors but has since expanded to include all members of the community.

The Liver Research Laboratory

The Liver Research Laboratory program invites high school, undergraduate and medical students from around the country to learn in a world-class facility located at USC’s Health Sciences Campus. Students accepted to the program perform basic biomedical science research under the guidance of Keck School of Medicine of USC faculty. Students also learn lab safety and research techniques and practice analyzing scientific data.

Es Tiempo

Es Tiempo (Spanish for “It’s Time”) is an annual women’s health campaign designed to associate regular cervical cancer screenings with the springtime bloom of the jacaranda tree.

MADRES

MADRES Community Engagement & Dissemination Core (CEDC) seeks to improve environmental health literacy among parents and youth from health disparity populations in urban Los Angeles, with a focus on environmental health effects on pregnant women and young children.
