Faculty Professional Development

The Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is committed to creating a culture that promotes and celebrates inclusion among its faculty, administrators, residents, fellows, students, and staff. Our goal is to build a comprehensive sense of accomplishment, connection, and engagement on our campus by tapping into the vast array of communities and experiences among our Trojan family and the distinctly diverse community of greater Los Angeles that the Keck School of Medicine calls home.

While we are passionately dedicated to recruiting excellent faculty and staff, we are equally steadfast in retention and promotion. At the Keck School of Medicine, an inclusive culture guides our principles for excellence. They are interdependent. As an academic medical center in a constantly changing and evolving nation, we have learned that myriad disparities affect access to health care and can lead to negative health outcomes. The Keck School of Medicine is committed to uniting with other academic leaders to address these issues. The first step to addressing health disparities is to practice inclusiveness at every level of our University.

In addition to promoting and fostering the richness of all cultures on campus, the Office for Faculty Affairs is focused on nurturing the career development of all faculty members. Through a variety of career development programming and supportive resources, we serve as a resource for faculty to reach their professional goals.

As we continue to build an excellent school of medicine in one of America’s most culturally rich cities, we encourage you to visit us and join our efforts to transform the Keck School of Medicine into an exciting community that values inclusion at all University levels and views inclusion as a long-term plan for academic excellence.
