New Faculty: Arun Durvasula, PhD

Arun Durvasula, PhD, assistant professor of population and public health sciences, joins the Division of Epidemiology and Genetics in the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences.

Durvasula’s mission is to develop statistical tools and analyze large datasets to understand how genetic variation leads to complex disease. In addition, he is interested in understanding how evolutionary history and natural selection has shaped the distribution of diseases causing mutations within and across populations.
