Dr. Ebrahim (Ebi) Zandi is Associate Professor of Molecular Microbiology & immunology at USC Keck School of Medicine. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 1995 from the California Institute of Technology (CalTech, Pasadena, CA). He has made significant contributions to the field of NF-kB and IKK signal transduction pathways. He has been honored with several awards including Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America Special Fellow Award, The V Foundation, and Stop Cancer. In addition, he is the first PEW Scholar Fellow (2001-2004) at USC. Furthermore, He has established Mass Spectrometry-based Proteomics at KSOM, and is the founding director of the USC Proteomics Center of Excellence. Currently, his research involves the use of proteomics and other omic technologies to understand the function of microbiome in Ulcerative Colitis as well as chemo- and immune-therapy in cancer patients.
