Under the leadership of Dean Carolyn Meltzer, MD, and with engagement from faculty, staff and students, the Keck School of Medicine 2025-2027 Strategic Roadmap was developed to align and prioritize organizational activities to meet its shared vision: To be the premier destination for those passionate about solving our diverse society’s most complex health challenges.

The Strategic Roadmap is a living document that outlines the ten critical strategic and foundational priorities to achieve over the three-year period. It also recognizes that the dynamic academic and healthcare environment in which we operate requires a nimble plan that can adjust and evolve to accommodate new opportunities or unexpected roadblocks.  The Keck School of Medicine leadership team reviews the plan regularly to ensure that the priorities are on track and aligned with our mission, vision, and values.

The Strategic Roadmap Structure

The roadmap is grounded in Keck’s four foundational mission areas of research, education, patient care, and community. Our people – faculty, staff, students, and patients – are positioned in the center as our institution and roadmap are built by and with the dynamic, creative, and cohesive talent base that we serve.  Each of the foundational mission areas are integrated cornerstones that guide our path.  The roadmap is grounded in our shared mission, vision, and values.
