Assistant Professor of Surgery

With more than 30 years of clinical experience as a board-certified adult and pediatric perfusionist, Julie has vast experience in all aspects of perfusion. Julie has more than 20 years of leadership experience, focusing on team development, skill enhancement, and both personal and professional growth. Julie has actively participated in the organization and completion of numerous pediatric medical missions around the world. Julie is a Fellow member of the American Academy of Cardiovascular Perfusion, a Fellow of Pediatric Perfusion, and a member of the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology

Julie Fenske, MS CCP FPP
Assistant Professor of Surgery

Julie Fenske has been a board-certified adult and pediatric cardiovascular perfusionist since 2017 and has extensive experience in specialized perfusion sciences, leadership development, and medical education. She belongs to the professional organizations AmSECT and The AACP and has presented at conferences for each. She received designation as a Fellow of Pediatric Perfusion by AmSECT in 2024. Julie Fenske encourages academic and personal development by incorporating a collaborative, honest, and positive learning environment, both within the operating room and the classroom alike.
