Residency Program
We train our residents to practice medicine with compassion and responsiveness in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment
The Radiation Oncology Residency Training Program is a four-year (48-month) training program, which is accredited by the ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education).
About the Residency Program
The Keck School of Medicine Radiation Oncology Residency Training Program is located on the USC Health Science Campus near metropolitan Los Angeles. The program’s goals and objectives have been designed and structured to meet the specific educational criteria designated by the ACGME’s Common Program, Institutional, and RRC Program Requirements for Graduate Medical Education in Radiation Oncology. Residents will be regularly evaluated on the ACGME Core Competencies, which have been incorporated into the program’s curriculum.
Program Goals

- Provide patients and their families with compassionate, comprehensive, and quality medical care while demonstrating a responsiveness to the patient’s needs that supersedes self-interest
- Provide an environment that recognizes, encourages and facilitates multidisciplinary collaboration as a critical component of professional development and clinical excellence
- Evaluate competency through formative and summative methods with opportunity for continuous performance improvement
- Maintain an academic curriculum and learning environment in preparation of certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR)
