Our Board of Overseers
The Keck School Board of Overseers is made up of prominent Los Angeles leaders in business, the arts, politics, media and academia. Its top priority is providing school leadership with unparalleled, “real world” guidance to develop and implement a plan to accomplish its goals and become a top 10 medical school.
The Keck School executive leadership team advises the Dean in all substantive matters pertaining to the governance of the Keck School of Medicine and is made up of administrative directors and associate deans.
Keck School of Medicine Leaders
The success of any institution is determined by the caliber of its people. The Keck School of Medicine of USC is no exception. The Keck School’s strength is rooted in the excellence of its faculty, students, staff and leadership.
Laura Mosqueda, MD was appointed dean of the Keck School of Medicine of USC on May 1, 2018. Prior to her appointment as dean, Dr. Mosqueda, a professor of Family Medicine and Geriatrics and a professor at the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, served as associate dean of Primary Care and the chair of Family Medicine.
The Keck School department chairs play a crucial role in advancing the school and direct day-to-day operations within their areas.
The Keck School institute directors are instrumental in advancing the school’s research initiatives.
The Keck School of Medicine Faculty Council is the elected faculty council for the Keck School of Medicine. It serves as the primary advisory group to the Dean. It represents the faculty of the School as stated in the Constitution of the Academic Senate. The Council is concerned with issues directly related to faculty status, responsibilities and welfare within the Keck School of Medicine.
