Marlena Fejzo, PhD

Marlena Schoenberg Fejzo, PhD, clinical assistant professor of population and public health sciences (part time), joins the Division of Epidemiology and Genetics in the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences.

Schoenberg Fejzo is a medical scientist whose research focuses on the health of people assigned female at birth and has published studies on ovarian cancer, breast cancer, multiple sclerosis, and discovered the first genes associated with uterine fibroids, nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, and hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). Currently her main research interest is in the placenta, appetite, nausea, and vomiting hormone GDF15 and the genetics and epidemiology of HG.
