1. Fundamentals of otolaryngology lecture recordings for student self-directed learning
2. 3 – 4 two hour in person sessions (Board question review, SPP cases, Clinical/Pathology review)
Otolaryngology Head and Neck Examination Workshop
1. Two 3-hour hands-on sessions in teaching head and neck examination to M2 students held in October each year
2. OHNS faculty, community otolaryngologist, and resident instruction

Clerkship Phase

ENT 300e – Introduction to Otolaryngology
1. 2 to 4-week clinical elective
2. Course offered year round
Virtual Otolaryngology
1. 2-week clinical elective launched in 2020
2. Dedicated online curriculum
ENT 400c – Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery clinical elective
1. 4-week sub-internship experience
2. Rotations at Keck HSC, Los Angeles General Medical Center, and CHLA integrated into curriculum
3. Typical enrollee: M4 students planning on applying in otolaryngology for residency

Otolaryngology Special Interest Group (OtoSig)

Dedicated OtoSig Faculty Advisor
Led by M1 and M2 student officers
Students work with faculty advisor to develop annual programming
1 annual Introduction to Otolaryngology lecture
3 additional informational didactics per year covering all subspecialties of OHNS over a two-year cycle
M1/M2 shadowing program in the clinics/ORs
Facilitate research opportunities for M1/M2 students
Annual community head and neck cancer screening
