    1. Two 3-hour hands-on sessions in teaching head and neck examination to M2 students held in October each year

Clerkship Phase
  1. ENT 300e – Introduction to Otolaryngology
    1. 2 to 4-week clinical elective
    2. Course offered year round
  2. Virtual Otolaryngology
    1. 2-week clinical elective launched in 2020
    2. Dedicated online curriculum
  3. ENT 400c – Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery clinical elective
    1. 4-week sub-internship experience
    2. Rotations at Keck HSC, Los Angeles General Medical Center, and CHLA integrated into curriculum
    3. Typical enrollee: M4 students planning on applying in otolaryngology for residency
  4. Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery visiting student elective

Otolaryngology Special Interest Group (OtoSig)
  1. Dedicated OtoSig Faculty Advisor
  2. Led by M1 and M2 student officers
  3. Students work with faculty advisor to develop annual programming
  4. 1 annual Introduction to Otolaryngology lecture
  5. 3 additional informational didactics per year covering all subspecialties of OHNS over a two-year cycle
  6. M1/M2 shadowing program in the clinics/ORs
  7. Facilitate research opportunities for M1/M2 students
  8. Annual community head and neck cancer screening
